Väriswap 11 - Color swap 11

We had a little swap with our Dollhouse Group Nukkekotielämää. The theme was a color and everyone could hope for the colors one wanted. I wished for rosa, green, beige, white and silver. And I got a huge package from TH. I have already made that apron from a flower printed fabric I got. The real treasure inside the package were those enamel beaker and cup. I just love them. I have to make some flowers into them.

Sain helmikuun lopussa vielä tällaisen ihanan yllätyksen. Kaikki esineet ovat metallia ja mittakaava on 1:12. Kiitos yllättäjä! Ja anteeksi, etten ole aiemmin kuvannut yllätystä.

This is the project I have been making lately. It is a roombox which is going to a Doll House exhibition in Turku next summer.

Savupiiput roskasta - Chimney pots out of trash

I was organizing my drawers and I found these empty sewing thread holders. I wondered why I had kept them, at least 20 of them actually. I almost ended up throwing them away, but then I realized that they would make quite authentic looking chimney pots. I did not paint them, but they could be painted too. I just glued them on top of the chimney after I removed the old pots.
Järjestelin askartelutarvikkeitani ja törmäsin näihin tyhjiin lankarulliin oikeastaan ainakin kahteenkymmeneen! Ihmettelin, miksi olin niitä säilyttänyt ja melkein heitin ne roskiin, kun keksin, että niistä saa aidon näköiset savupiipun hormit. En edes maalannut niitä, vaan liimasin vain entisten hormien paikoille.
