Kello - The Clock

Ostin Lontoon museosta tällaisen pienen metallisen kuninkaallisen vaunun nukkekotiini tuliaisiksi. Se näytti takanreunalla vähän hölmöltä, kunnes keksin tehdä siitä kellon. Materiaaleina Britalta saatu kellotaulun printti, tekosilmän kupu ja pätkä kultaista ääriviivatarraa.

I bought this little metal royal coach from The Museum of London as a souvernier to my dollhouse. It looked a bit odd on the mantlepiece until I had an idea to transform it into a mantle clock. All I needed was a clock print (from Brita), a piece of a fake eye and a strap of golden sticker.

AFTER

New clocks - Uusi kelloja

I promiset to tell you which materials I have used to make these clocks.

You will need a base. Mine is a metal medicine bottle cap I got from a friend. Then I have filled the cap with air-drying clay to make the clock heavier. Then you will need a dollhouse doorhandle, 5 short pins, an eye (cut out the clear part) and two of those metallic things on the left and a print of a clock face.

The idea of making a clock is not mine, but Brita offered us these materials and ideas at our dollhouse club meeting. Also Maria has made beautiful clocks.

These clocks also have a glass front made from eyes meant for stuffed animals (those eyes with moving pupilla). I should take a picture to clear this explanation :)

Näissä kelloissa on myös lasi, joka on tehty pehmoeläimille tarkoitetuista silmistä, joissa liikkuva mustuainen. Pitäisi varmaan ottaa selventävä kuva :)

Herätys! - Wake up!

I am waking up from my miniature hibernation thanks to these alarm clocks we made at our Dollhouse Club in Turku. Mine is the one far right. Most of the materials where provided by our group leader, Brita. Making this alarm clock was so much fun that I have already made two more and planning on making some more. All the servants need their own, of course!

Olen heräämässä miniatyyritalviunesta näiden Turun nukkekotikerhossa tekemiemme herätyskellojen myötä. Mun kelloni on äärimmäisin oikealla. Suurin osa materiaaleista on Britalta, kerhomme vetäjältä. Näiden kellojen tekeminen oli niin hauskaa, että olen tehnyt jo kaksi lisää ja aion tehdä vieläkin muutaman. Kaikki palvelijatkin tarvitsevat oman herätyskellon!
