Kitchen Aid

 Ostin Kitchen Aid-yleiskoneen Piglettoniin Mrs Who'lta. Eiks oo pähee? Kuva ei siis todellakaan tee oikeutta tuolle aarteelle.  Koneesta löytyy kaikki yksityiskohdat vispilöineen ja pistokkeineen.

I bought this Kitchen Aid from Mrs Who. Isn't it cool? The photo surely does not show how perfect it is. 

Kirjakaruselli - Book Carousel

Tein kirjakarusellin Maria Malmströmin ohjetta mukaillen. Hyllyn päällä oleva shakkilauta on turkulaisen nukkekoteilijan taidonnäyte. Takanreunukselle laitoin taulun.

I made this book carousel using Maria Malmström's instruction in her book "Nukkekoti Väinölän tapaan". I altered it a little bit.  The chess board on the table is made by a lady from our Doll house group. 

 Muokkasin myös sohvapöytää paremmin huoneeseen sopivaksi. Alkuperäisestä käytin vain päällisen ja sekin on hiottu ja petsattu uudelleen. Mirkan tekemä keinutuoli sai ruusukangaspäällisen. Ulko-ovikin on saranoillaan.

I had to do something with the coffee table too and now only the top is original and I sanded all the shiny varnish from it and painted it with dilute brown acrylic. I also put a mat to a rocking chair made by Mirka.

Vielä lähikuvaa kirjakarusellista, jossa on osa oikeita kirjoja (Larissan kitistä) ja osa paspispahvin päälle liimattuja kirjojen kansia, jotka olen ostanut Nukkekotikirppikseltä.

Verhot - Curtains

Curtains are hung. It was easy to make them now, that I knew how to make curtains. And I did not sew a stich while making these. Fabric is from Sinelli. I have to sand paper the table (it is EuroMinis I think), because it is too shiny now. Or maybe I  will make a new table that has a shelf for magazines and stuff. 

Olipas helppoa tehdä verhot, kun tiesi, miten ne tehdään. Enkä ommellut pistoakaan näitä verhoja tehdessä. Kangas on Sinellistä tilattu. Pitää hioa tuo sohvapöytä, kun noin kiiltää (EuroMinisin pöytä muistaakseni). Tai ehkä teen uuden pöydän, jossa on hylly lehtiä varten.

Keittiö - The Kitchen

 Piglettonin keittiössä alkaa olla valmista. Tein hellan yläpuolelle kaksi hyllyä. Verhotkin sain ikkunaan pienen tappelun jälkeen. Pieni apupöytä varmaan vielä tarvittaisiin ikkunan alapuolelle ja toinen tuoli.

  Pigletton's kitchen is almost done. I made two shelves above AGA. Maybe I should make a little table under the window and one more chair is needed. 

Sohva ja nojatuoli - Sofa and an armchair

 Olen pitkään pähkäillyt, minkälaiset kalusteet laitan Piglettonin olohuoneeseen. Ideoita saadakseni ostin sisustuslehden English Home. Onneksi ostin, koska sehän oli täynnä juuri sellaisia koteja, joiden tunnelman haluaisin myös Piglettoniin. Ohjeet nojatuoliin löysin täältä ja samaa ohjetta muokaten tein sohvan. Sohvasta puuttuu vielä tereet. Nojatuolin ruusukangas on Tilda-kangasta. Nyt on vielä tulossa erilaisia ruusukankaita Sinellistäkin, kun tähän olohuoneeseen tehdään ruusu-överit.

I have been thinking what kind of furniture I would like in Pigletton's living room. For ideas I  bought a magazine English Home. Luckily I did, because it was full of homes with an athmosphere I wanted to gain. The armchair is made from a tutorial here and I used it  with sofa too with some alterations. Sofa is still missing pipings. The fabric for the armchair is Tilda's. I have also ordered more rosy fabrics from Sinelli. There will be just roses in this living room.

Wanted!

Does anyone know where to get cotton fabric like this, but with white or cream back ground? Can anyone recommend, where to buy fabric like this? Foreign blogs are full of beautiful rose fabrics, but I do not seem to find them anywhere.  I finally figured out what kind of sofa I would make for Pigletton and now I do not have fabric for it.

Flower Basket - Kukkakori

I have been weaving flower baskets for Facebook's "Nukkekotikirppis" (e.g. doll house flea market). The basket is made from fabric-covered metal wire and waxed cotton. I cut the wall hanger from plastic fence material. Now I also made the flowers. I bought a new punch, which makes those branch like leaves. 

Olen punonut koreja myytäväksi Facebookin Nukkekotikirppikselle. Kori on tehty kangaspäällysteisestä metallilangasta ja vahatusta puuvillanarusta. Ripustuskoukku on leikattu muovisesta aitaamateriaalista. Nyt tein kukatkin, kun ostin uuden punchin, jolla saa tehtyä tuollaisia oksannäköisiä lehtiä.
