Uusi kokki - New Cook

I finally got my cook dressed. I had her as a present from a miniaturist friend of mine, Krizze. The doll is made by Taru (Primadoll) like almost all my dolls. I took the picture through kitchen window.

Viimeinkin sain kokin puettua. Olen saanut hänet lahjaksi nukkekotiystävältäni Krizzeltä. Nuken on tehnyt Taru (Primadoll) kuten lähes kaikki nukkeni. Otin tämän kuvan keittiön ikkunan läpi.
During Victorian times cooking was done in "dry kitchen" and all messy work like preparing the fish and game and washing the dishes was done in "wet" scullery. Now I do not have to worry that I do not have plumbing in the kitchen.

Viktoriaanisella ajalla keittäminen ja paistaminen tehtiin "kuivassa" keittiössä ja likaiset hommat kuten kalan perkuu, riistan käsittely ja tiskaaminen "märässä" "kodinhoitohuoneessa". Nyt ei tarvitse siis harmitella edes sitä, että keittiössä ei ole vesijohtoa.
I bought this perfect fabric for the dress from Taru last Sunday. Apron is made from all hankerchief.

Ostin tämän täydellisen kankaan kokin hameeseen Tarulta viime sunnuntaina. Esiliina on tehty vanhasta nenäliinasta ja kanttinauhoista.

Nukke-ja nallemarkkinat 2011 - Doll and Teddy Bear Fair 2011

Tässä ostoksiani viime sunnuntain Helsingin Nukke- ja Nallemarkkinoilta. Yläkuvassa portaat ja makkarat Raililta. Makkarat ovat Eevan käsialaa.

I went to Doll and Teddy Bear Fair in Helsinki last Sunday. I did some shopping there. The stairs and sausages are from Raili.

Nuket ovat Tarulta. - Dolls are from Taru (Primadoll).
Pickles are from Matleena.

Old antique lace is form "Lace Lady Maija". She had the finest selection of antique and vintage laces.

Rocking chair and mirror and a tiny porcelain "piggy bank" dog are from Mirka.

Keittiön ikkunan jätin vähän raolleen. Ohjeessa jopa vinkattiin, että ikkunat voi liimata kiinni tai osittain auki. Hyvä vinkki!

I left the kitchen window a bit open. Instructions advices to glue the windows shut or a little bit open. Good advice I think!

Turun Seudun Nukkekotikerho - The Doll house club of Turku

Meillä oli tänään Turun seudun nukkekotikerhon ensimmäinen kerhokerta. Teimme kukkia. Itse tein kukkia Katriinan kiteistä ja vanhoista kiteistä jäljelle jääneistä kukkien osista. Keskelle tulee vielä valkoisia hortensioita. Kukkalaatikko on Piglettonin keittiön ikkunalla.

We had the first meeting in our new Doll house club in Turku and surrounding area. We made flowers. Mine are from a kit from Katriina. The flower box is under the kitchen window in Pigletton. I should make some white flowers in the middle.

Puuosat - Half-timber trim

Sain vasemman sivuseinän ikkunatkin paikoilleen. Ikkunan puiteissa on näissä pienissä ikkunoissa 4 osaa, isommassa vielä enemmän. Tulee kyllä tosi aidon näköiset. Piipun hattu pitäisi vielä maalata.

I made the left wall windows, too. These small windows have four pieces each, bigger ones have even more. But the result is worth the effort. I should paint the chimney.

Thanks to the readers I have a secret room with a door. I had to tare the wall off to make the door, but it is really worth it. See who is living in the tiny secret room. He even glows in the dark.
I bought this little ghost from a Doll House Fair some years ago. Now he has a home too.
