Tossuja ja astioita - slippers and dishes

We made shoes in our club meeting last Sunday. I made these slippers. They try to look like traditional Finnish slippers that old men use -"Reinot". The beautiful dishes behind the slippers are ordered from Dolores. They are just the cutest dishes I have seen and they are perfect for Pigletton.

The bed (or mattress on the floor) is in Pigletton. Way too many books and albums to read - no wonder the construction is not progressing. It seems that these miniature builders do the same as the real size ones - they have more that one place they are building at the same time. My "workmen" are building the big Victorian - I suppose.

Teimme kenkiä nukkekotikerhossa viime sunnuntaina. Yritin tehdä "reinoja". Kauniit astiat tossujen takana on tilattu Dolorekselta. Ne ovat aivan täydellisiä Piglettoniin ja söpöjä kuin mitkä.

Patja lattialla on Piglettonissa. Näyttää olevan vähän liikaa lukemista eli ei ihme, että rakentaminen ei edisty. Vaikuttaa siltä, että minirakentaja tekevät samaa kuin oikeatkin eli tekevät montaa rakennustyötä samanaikaisesti. Minun "työmieheni" rakentavat isoa viktoriaanista - uskoisin.

What is happening?
I finally having the facade for my victorian house. My dad built the plywood house 1998 and I have had those plywood pieces for the facade at least two years now. Now I finally had the courage to hinge them with piano hinges. Now I am wallpapering the facade walls and painting window frames.

But I am glad I have been waiting for this long. Now I am more skilled with wood-work than ten years ago. And I luckily had all wall-papers left and I had bought enough tile paper from London year 1999!

The reason I got the facade finally built is my new doll house Pigletton. I have to think carefully (hopefully not ten years this time) how to decorate the house and where to put the lights at etc.

This and That

I made some folders from pieces of wall paper I had. I just had to put some papers in one of the folders.

Tein kansioita tapetin paloista. Yhteen kansioon oli pakko väkertää oikein paperitkin sisälle.

Muuraushommia - Tiles

Päällystin hormin tiilipaperilla. Eihän se oikeastaan mihinkään näy, mutta kait se on vähän sama kuin jos laittaa päälle kauniit alusvaatteet niin tuntee olonsa kauniimmaksi ja itsevarmemmaksi. Idean sain Glencroft blogista.

I covered the chimney with tile paper. I doesn't really show, but I guess it is quite the same as with pretty underwear - you just feel yourself more pretty and confident. I got the idea from a Glencroft blog.
